Many preeminent names of the auto industry marked their presence at the recently held Autocar Awards 2022 in Mumbai. Some of the key attendees from the auto industry included:

Aditya Thackeray, Maharashtra’s Minister of Tourism and Environment, attended the event alongside major figures from the autosector. As the chief guest, Thackeray spoke about electric vehicles and the future of the auto industry.

The four-wheeler category
In the four-wheeler segment of the Autocar Awards 2022, Mahindra XUV 700 impressed the judges and bagged more honours than any other car. The XUV 700’s popularity is such that it has become one of India’s fastest SUVs to surpass the one-lakh booking mark. And, why not? The XUV 700’s exhaustive feature list, spacious and high-tech cabin, and powerful engines are difficult to match.
Apart from the XUV 700, a few other notable names received awards in various categories including the Renault Kiger, Volkswagen Taigun, and others. From the Car of the Year to Green Car of the Year awards, here is the complete list of winners:

Closing the list of awardees in the car segment would be incomplete without the mention of Tata Motors, which was named the Manufacturer of the Year at Autocar Awards 2022—certainly no surprises there. The two-wheeler category
The TVS Raider impressed the judges the most in the two-wheeler category. Raider won the ‘Bike of the Year’ title thanks to its sleek design, powerful engine, and excellent performance.
